Chapter Colony and Chartering
Texas Tau's roots can be traced back to a small Colony organization, founded on May 25th, 1978. With hopes of becoming a nationally chartered school, the colony focused on member stability and growth. The Colony coordinated with National and Alumni organizations to recruit incoming Texas A&M students. After a couple years of growth, the Colony requested its Charter on October 20th, 1980, which was later approved in 1981.
